Jennifer Lacroix is an educator and researcher who excels at collaborating with faculty, staff, and multimedia developers to design curriculum and learning assessments for fully online, blended, and traditional programs to improve international education for students from linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds.

As an experienced classroom teacher, Lacroix has continually asked critical questions of her own practice. This critical inquiry has led to further questions surrounding challenges that internationals, who are learning English for Academic Purposes, face on a global-level. In response to learners’ challenges, she has dedicated her career to helping international scholars become more critically engaged in research and practice where English is the Medium of Instruction.

Lacroix’s research focuses on second language listening development and intercultural communication skills. Her larger research agenda explores ways for humans to listen more effectively to each other. She frequently presents her research at international conferences and has served on numerous committees and Interest Sections (ISs) for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) International. She lives in Cambridge, MA, USA.
